INVI is looking for interns for fall 2024

We are looking for interns with deep professional skills and a broad interest in society who want to help us develop new visions and tools for society's wild problems.

We have always been good at solving social problems in Denmark. That's why we are in the super league of prosperity. But as many have noticed, we no longer achieve the same results. We debate, we work, we stress, we set up commissions and expert groups. But often the big changes in society fail to materialize.

This is not because we have become worse at solving problems. It's because the problems we face are cross-border and intractable. Just think about climate, unhappiness or the lack of hands in the labor market. They are wild problems and they require new approaches.

At the think tank INVI, we develop visions and tools to give everyone working on wild problems more strings to their bow. Together with practitioners and experts, we help rethink how we design and roll out policy. We test methods and models and are not bound by party politics, bureaucratic battles or commercial interests.

We have high ambitions and lots of exciting projects in the pipeline. As an intern, you'll have plenty of opportunities to put your professional skills into play - whether you study political science, design, anthropology, business administration, communication, or something else entirely.

About the position:

At the INVI Think Tank, we work at the intersection of theory and practice. We are developing Denmark's first model for societal complexity and we collaborate with practitioners on the frontline.

Therefore, there are many opportunities to participate in exciting assignments that provide experience and networks that you can use in your future career.

Depending on your skills and professional background, you will be assigned tasks within:

  • Policy analysis

  • Design research

  • Project management

  • Data processing

  • Concept development

  • Organizational development

  • Visualization and communication

  • Communication, social media, podcast production

We expect you to be in a relevant higher education program. Maybe you're a social scientist, maybe you're a humanist, maybe you're an engineer. It's not that important. What's important is that you are passionate about the work of developing new visions and tools for society's wild problems.

You need to thrive in an environment where there are many unknowns. Therefore, independence and creative thinking are important qualities, and it is an advantage if you are structured and have an eye for detail.

What you get out of an internship at INVI

We offer an internship in a new think tank where you will have a lot of influence on your everyday life and where there are high expectations for your performance and development.

You'll be interning in a fast-paced organization with high ceilings and great social cohesion. At INVI, we are a unified team where everyone contributes both professionally and socially.

We offer an unpredictable semester and we guarantee it won't be boring.

Course of study

The internship starts on 15 August 2024 and ends on 15 December 2024, but we are happy to organize the start and length of your internship to suit you and your educational institution. The internship is unpaid, but it is possible to receive a gratuity, cf. rules on salary and SU: here.
